Short comments: Love, Death & Robots
I don’t know how long have I been distracted from writings, blogs of kind of. But the only thing I recognize is navigate my routine back to the ‘circle’ of mindfulness. One of them is blogging, thanks to reading the article in one of my colleagues blog, which inspire me again. Coming back with a brand new type of writing, a new blog series about films, I’m not sure how long can it be maintained but why don’t I try it ?~?
I have subscribed Netflix for about 2 months, however, Love, Death & Robots (or I will call it LD&R afterward) is just my second series in the watch-list. After The Queen’s Gambit, which is considered as an other blog of my ‘Short comments’, I was searching for a compact and lean series
It is an anthology adult animated series. Each episode of LD&R comes with different art styles and stories, some of them are animated, others are CGI’s visual applied. But not only the view that all of the episodes are so beautiful, the messages come with stories are make me think about it and they are deserved to be watched not only one time.
One last thing I want to discuss, by mentioning about adult topics and comes with sex, violence, nudity… scenes, LD&R is available for matured audiences (18+). Blood and slices may not suitable for your mental health.

Three Robots
The post-apocalypse world from the perspective of 3 robots, who have a trip to an abandoned city. Where there is no people, just some remnants of human-being. The visit ends at a nuclear missiles base, when the team is surrounded by the real masters of the world. The 3-robots-team have so many dark jokes make us think about the current world, which has several problems nowadays.

Scenes and the graphics of this episode are so impressive, bring to us the iconic narrow street and buildings in Hong Kong. The characters and frames are enhanced by draws, neon lights and visual stimulant effects.

This episode bring us to the countryside. Where farmers become pilot, controlling their homemade mechs fight against invaders from the other space to protect their families and farm, bravely.

Good Hunting
By giving us the old tale about Hujijang, we are introduced the intersection between Yan and Liang. I don’t know why, but this episode makes me have to watch it not only 1 or 2 times. It’s truly a heart-touched story for an Asian, like me. When Western wave comes, when the steam engines pour in and change the Eastern culture value, how the base stays and blooms. It is the problem about the confliction between the new and the old value, but deeper, we are on the struggled way to find our ego.

The Dumb
An old man protects his living place, beside him is a giant pet. It is the dirties episode of the whole series, ruins my admiration to the art of the previous one… or I just can not absorb this kind of art.
